Mission StatementOur mission is to reduce the recidivism rates of incarceration. In helping adult and youth offenders heal from emotional wounds of negative experiences, offenders will learn to uproot the causal factors that fuel their destructive lifestyles. Holistically speaking, we are branching out our endeavors to help others in our local communities as well, i.e, high/middle schools and community centers.

Established in 2005The SAR program was created in 2005 by two California prisoners who grew up in dysfunctional homes. With the support of their peers, the founders have since expanded to six other facilities within the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and formalized their program with a 501(c)3 non-profit status.
